November 4, 2024 – Middlesex-London Paramedic Service (MLPS) is excited to announce the launch of a new Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) Rapid Response Unit (RRU), designed to provide more timely access to advanced healthcare for the citizens of London and Middlesex County. This new unit is part of an innovative deployment model aimed at getting Advanced Care Paramedics to the patients who need them most, when they need them most.

The ACP Rapid Response Unit will be strategically deployed to high-demand areas, using real-time data to ensure faster response times and improved patient outcomes. Staffed by a highly trained Advanced Care Paramedic, the unit will provide critical care interventions, such as advanced airway management, intravenous therapy, and life-saving medications, directly at the scene.

This initiative underscores the commitment of MLPS in delivering innovative emergency medical services and improving healthcare outcomes for the community, aligning with the ongoing goals of the Middlesex-London Paramedic Service Authority Board to foster a culture of positive change and enhance healthcare outcomes for all patients.
